Sequencing Into Stillness: The Art and Anatomy of Teaching Yoga

  • Blue Point Yoga Center 410 West Geer Street Durham, NC, 27701 United States (map)

Yoga is already an important part of your life. If you’re ready for the next step of deepening your practice and learning how to confidently teach yoga to others, our program is designed to get you there.

At Blue Point Yoga, our signature 200hr Teacher Training is a carefully crafted and comprehensive program taught and designed by studio owner Sara Doyle, PhD. Registered with Yoga Alliance at the highest level (E-RYT 500), Sara has been practicing yoga for over 15 years and is also an anatomy instructor at Duke University Medical School. Our unique training will take you deep into the science, anatomy, alignment, and “smart movement” principles that are critical to understanding yoga at an advanced level. Each training is led by Dr. Doyle and includes guest experts in yogic philosophy and other specialty areas of study.

At Blue Point Yoga, we recognize that learning and teaching yoga is not just about poses. Yoga is often a journey of self-discovery, change, and personal growth. We’ve built our signature 200hr Teacher Training with that in mind. You will emerge prepared – knowing both the movement and science behind what you’re doing – and feeling empowered – even more passionate about yoga’s role in your life. You will learn how to teach, not just what to teach.

With trainings available in 2 formats, (a 9-weekend or a 3-week intensive), we welcome you to the next step in your yoga journey with our 200hr Teacher Training.

A few words from recent program graduates
“(The training) not only taught me about the physical practice, philosophy, and anatomy of yoga, but it also helped me to develop the skills and confidence necessary to share all of these things with others.” Sarah

“Sara Doyle was well-organized in her teaching sessions; very positive when coaching us as novice teachers; knowledgeable about anatomy, yoga and the business side of yoga; and simultaneously light-hearted and conscientious in her own teaching, a very appealing combination.” Lynn

“I feel I came out of the training with the confidence to put together class plans and enough teaching practice to begin instructing immediately.” Sean
